Grape expectations with Kerry Skinner
From New Zealands Blind River region and named after the lighthouse at the southern entrance to the Cook Straight. A vibrant, aromatic savvy with intense tropical fruit on the nose and palate, herbaceous characters, lively acidity and a clean, chrisp finish. Drink it with a fresh prawn salad.

Grapes are grown on Cape Campbell's own vineyrd in the Blind Rivere area of the Awatere Valley, and it shows the classic Awatere lifted aromas of fresh herb, capsicum and ripe passionfruit characters. The palate is fruity with lush mouthfeel and chrisp acidity. A knockout Sauvignon Blanc!

An endless summer - Peter Shaw, Waikato Times
"Here are some wines to enjoy as our summer continues".....This wine shows pale straw colour and open aromas of citrus and nettles on the nose. The flavours are of green apples and citrus. The finish is dry but the flavours linger a while.

I love this pungent style, smelling of dusty river stones with the mouth filled out with hints of bright green fruit - kiwi, gooseberry, lime, mineral with a crisp, assertive finish.
This comes from Blind River Valley.

A hint of rain on hot gravel, ripe sweet fruiot, mouth-filling with a crisp, long juicy finish.
